Millay Colony Open for Fellowship Applications

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation through it's Creative Fellowships program provides funds to support residencies at the Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, New York. Four fellowships are awarded annually to support one-month residencies for composers, literary and visual artists from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. In addition to the residency sponsorship, a small travel subsidy is awarded to selected fellows. The next deadline for applications at the Millay Colony is October 1, 2010. For more information and application instructions, please visit http://www.millaycolony.org.

NOTE: Okay, people. When I mentioned Smithsonian, most posts showed hesitancy at applying. If you let odds deter you - if you want something easy to get - go write for a writer mill. I've heard from so many people who have grabbed a residency, fellowship, contest or grant because they read it in FFW and took a chance. You can't win if you don't enter - you don't publish if you don't submit - you don't enjoy life if you don't jump in and play. Apply!

DOUBLE NOTE: Chapter 13 is pretty darn good. Time to nail 14 and 15 this weekend. AND...I've added a room on Chicken Coop #2 for my two chicks and my two Dominquers that were attached a couple months ago by the neighbor's dog. It's so pretty! Maybe pics next week.
