Saturday Evening Post Limerick Contest

You could win $100 for a limerick! Apparently the Saturday Evening Post has these little contests every couple of months, using visuals that you'd easily recognize as typical SEP artwork - so Americana. The Saturday Evening Post will award $100 to the author of the winning limerick for this picture.

Limericks must contain five lines. Enter as many times as you wish. The Nov/Dec 2010 Limerick Laughs winner will be announced in the Mar/Apr 2011 issue. Entries must be postmarked by December 6, 2010.

NOTE: While these pics predate me, they  feel so cozy, so real, so reminiscent of something I wish I'd experienced. No entry fee here, and you only have until Monday - barely a week, but it's a limerick. Go for it. Test your rhythm and rhyming skills.
