BYLINE ACROSTIC POEM CONTEST http://www.bylinemag.com
$3 ENTRY FEE - Deadline July 19, 2008. Any of several forms of the acrostic poem which reads both down and across. Do letter acrostics where the first letter of each line reads as a word orsentence or word acrostics where the first word of each line reads as a sentence or phrase, or any form of double acrostic-there the first and last letter/word of each line read down. Nospecific length. Try not to sacrifice poetry to form. Prizes$35, $20, $10.
NOTE: Very unusual small competition if you ask me, but it's by ByLine Magazine, so it's legit. Does make you think twice, though, doesn't it? Almost like a Sudoku puzzle, only with words.
DOUBLE NOTE: Working hard on a major writing magazine article. Draft is written. Now I have to cut out two hundred words. Hmmm...tomorrow.
